Who we are

A Saskatoon company you can drive to.

An address on McClocklin Road, and a phone number that a person answers. Not a call centre and not a chatbot.

What we do

Future Now Energy is an independent, family-owned natural gas retailer. We supply the gas commodity to households and businesses in Saskatchewan, Ohio and Illinois. Your local utility continues to own the distribution system, deliver the gas and send you your bill.

Every gas retailer sells the same product. It is the same molecule, arriving through the same pipe, burning the same way. Nobody has better gas. What differs between us and the rest of the list is the rate, the contract terms, and whether the company explains the awkward parts before you sign rather than after.

And the rebate: 15% of what you pay for the gas itself comes back to you.

You may see YouFirst Energy mentioned alongside us. It is a natural gas drilling company. Future Now Energy is the retail supplier, and the gas we supply is bought from a range of drillers and on the wholesale market — whichever is competitive — not from any single source.

  1. 01Your right

    You choose

Saskatchewan, Ohio and Illinois all let you pick who supplies your gas. Most households have no idea the choice exists.

  2. 02What changes

    Future Now Energy

We buy the gas and deliver it into your utility’s system in your name. The supply line on your bill is the only thing that changes.

  3. 03Unchanged

    Your utility

Still owns the pipes, still delivers, still reads your meter, still sends you one bill, still answers emergencies.

  4. 04The rebate

    15% comes back

A rebate of 15% of your gas supply charge, accruing every month and paid out by cheque.

How to reach a person

The same number answers whether you are a customer or not

You do not need an account to ask a question. Call and someone will walk through your own bill with you, tell you what the supply charge on it is, and say plainly whether switching is worth it for your usage.

If the answer is that it is not, that is the answer you will get. A retailer that signs up households the agreement does not suit ends up cancelling them again.
