How do I switch from my current natural gas provider?

Switching supplier is simpler than most people expect, largely because you are not switching very much. Your utility keeps delivering the gas, keeps reading your meter and keeps sending you one bill. The only thing that changes is who supplies the gas commodity, which appears as a single line on that bill.
To start, send us your service address. We check it falls inside your utility’s service area and send you the agreement, which sets out the rate type, the term, the rebate terms and your cancellation rights. Nothing changes on your account until you sign it.
Once you have signed, your utility processes the change on their side and notes it on a following bill. There is no site visit, no equipment change and no interruption to your service at any point. You do not need to contact your current supplier yourself.
Two things worth knowing before you commit. In Saskatchewan you can cancel within 20 business days of enrolling at no cost. In Ohio and Illinois your utility’s default supply service is always available for you to return to. And timing matters in a small way: most of the year’s gas is burned between November and March, so a switch that lands before the heating season simply has more gas on the bill to take a percentage of.
Read the terms before you sign, including ours. Any supplier who would rather you did not is telling you something.
